Step 2. Import the target video

• Click File in the upper-left corner of the page > Choose Import to bring in your original video

Step 3. Select and add the effect

• Select Effects in the top panel > Search Crop by its search function

• Two ways to add the effect to the clip: Double click on the Crop option to add it or drag and drop the Crop effect on to the clip you wish to edit.

Step 4. Change aspect ratio in Premiere Pro

• After adding the Crop effects to the clip, you can see the Crop function panel emerge on the left side, where you can crop the image from the left, top, right, bottom by adjusting percentages.

• After being cropped, the footages usually deviate from the center as shown below.

• In this case, you have to manually drag the image to the center.

(Tips: To erase the surrounding black edge, you also need to increase the scale of the footages by dragging its crop handle)
