I tried playing a DVD using Mac DVD player application and got a black screen. It gave me a message saying DVD Player encountered a system error 69889. HELP!

Fix 2: "DVD Player encountered a system error" can be caused by corrupted DVD Player preferences. Open the Finder > click Go in Finder's menu bar > Go to Folder. Type or copy paste "~/LIbrary/Preferences/com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist". Then delete the com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist file and play the DVD on Mac again.
