Or if you don't see it, go to DVD Player icon in application folder > File > Get Disc Info and then a window will pop up and you will see the Settings file > click Reveal button and find its location. Then delete it.
Fix 2: "DVD Player encountered a system error" can be caused by corrupted DVD Player preferences. Open the Finder > click Go in Finder's menu bar > Go to Folder. Type or copy paste "~/LIbrary/Preferences/com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist". Then delete the com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist file and play the DVD on Mac again.
