How to Cut/Trim/Rotate/Split DVD in One Step

"What would be the best way to edit my Homemade DVD on my computer? There are 6 hours of a mixed up compilation of birthdays, Christmas's, reunions, etc. I would like to take some clips for editing and convert them to a format I can email like mpeg or avi or whatever. "

In some cases, we will need to edit the video on a DVD to customize the video for sharing or extract a segment for other projects. DVD editing may be a little bit tricky as it's not a digital file, it's a disc. Even the most professional editors like Adobe Premiere Pro will NOT support DVD directly. (Note that commercial DVDs have copy protections that prevent you to rip or edit the disc. But it is commonly believed that if you legally own the DVD, you can dispose it for your personal use. Anyway, consult your local law before you do it.)

Step 1: Load the DVD
Import your DVD to computer's hard drive. Then launch the software and click the DVD button to load the disc. Besides, you can also load a DVD folder or ISO image file.

Step 2: Select an output file
After you load the disc, the software will automatically detect the correct title of the disc even if it's a disc with multiple fake or corrupted titles as it will remove any protections like CSS, region code, ASP, Sony ARccOS, Disney X project or any others.
After that, a window will pop up asking you to select an output format. If you want to keep the highest quality, the ISO image, MPEG2 and MKV are the best; you will also find the mp4, mov, avi, flv, 3gp, other common formats; or extract the movie soundtrack as mp3, ac3, aac, or directly select an output destination like iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9, just to name a few.

Step 3: Edit DVD videos
Click the Edit button at the end of the selected title to enter into the DVD editing page.

You will find the options to edit the DVD. For example, if you want to cut out certain parts from the DVD movie, click Trim button and adjust the timeline or enter the specific start time and end time. Besides, you can crop DVD movie screen to remove black bars or adjust the aspect ratio; add subtitles, rotate and do more. It's plain and simple.

After editing, you can go to the setting page to further compress the DVD video. Click the button with a gear icon to adjust the video codecs, resolution, bit rate, frame rate and other audio settings.

Step 4: Apply the editing
Click Run to start to rip the DVD and apply all the adjustments. Before you click the Run button, don't forget to check a few boxes at the bottom lower part of the interface:
